reflection

The method of delivery for technology-based instruction determines how well information is received.

The school newsletter that I created is a good example of this standard, because it delivered all the important school news in a traditional paper-based format.  The newsletter is simple and easy-to-read, but draws attention by use of pictures and colors, and design.

I believe that this standard is also demonstrated by the student flyer that invites students to join FBLA. There are always numerous flyers hanging around campus, and in order to draw attention to this one, I have to make sure it has a unique design and catchy slogan.  The flyer also includes the most important information so that all students know when and where the first meeting will be held.

Digital messaging tolls such as Remind 101 and GroupMe provide instantaneous message delivery to students, parents, etc.  Remind provides pertinent information about upcoming assignments, class activities, and anything else teachers need to communicate.  GroupMe provides a valuable instrument which promotes student collaboration on classroom content.

The creation of Powerschool App instructions for parents to use on their phones is another important tool that meets this standard.  By providing step-by-step instructions, this handout provides parents with a useful tool to keep up with their student's grades, attendance, and progress in school.

Through these various works, information can be distributed effectively and efficiently.

Future Learning Goals
I will continue to use apps like Remind 101 and GroupMe to communicate with students, parents, and school personnel in an easy and effective manner.  I will also continue to use programs like Canva to create images and announcement images to post important information on social media and around campus.  I will continue to use and add apps and online tools to create new and fun ways to communicate and teach.
